"packager" is a tool I made to automate the installation of packages on my personal Linux systems. It is similar to the Portage system used by Gentoo Linux in that it compiles all packages from source code; while its dependency system is fairly simple and it does not have the security provided by Portage's sandbox functionality, it was adequate for my needs, and it allowed me to know exactly what was going onto my system.
