Chapter 11: Cyan's Old Room --------------------------- Miguel woke up in a cold sweat. It was very early and both Porom and Cordain were still asleep. He wiped the sweat off his head and face. He walked to the door and looked out the window. He saw the light from the sun radianting the town from the horizan. In a few hours, the sun will again be behind the dark clouds darkening the city again. That was when he would leave for Mt. Zozo. He looked around the room and did not see Palom. He couldn't remember why he left, but he wasn't there still. For some reason, he put it in the back of his mind. He didn't really know this Palom person and didn't know if was suppost to return. He stood there, looking out the window. Watching the guards and troops walk the streets, harassing the citizens. In her bed, Porom slowly turned and woke up. She looked around and saw Miguel looking out the window. She slowly walked up to Miguel and put her hand on his shoulder. Miguel looked up and back out the window. "Are you hungry?" Porom asked Miguel. "No, thank you." Miguel said. Porom turned around. She caught herself before she screamed as she saw Cordain standing right behind her. She strangly looked and Cordain as she walked passed him. She make herself breakfast. Cordain walked up to Miguel and looked out the window with him. "I need to find a safe place in Mt. Zozo. Can you help?" Miguel asked. "I sure can. We'll go to Cyan's old room." Cordain said. "Alright, we'll leave in a few hours, when it's dark again." Miguel said. The next few hours passed quickly for both Cordain and Porom, but not for Miguel. He sat there staring out the window the entire time half looking at what was going on and half looking at what should be. The more he looked at those troops harassing the people and destroying property, the more he wanted to help them. * * * Miguel, Porom, and Cordain easily stayed out of each of the troop's sight as they traveled to the entrance of Mt. Zozo. When they got there, three soldiers, 1 in agitek armor, stood at the entrance. "They must have finally blocked the entrance." Cordain said. "I'm still going in." Miguel said. "How will we get past them?" Porom asked. "Simple. We'll walk right past them." Miguel said. "What?" both Cordain and Porom said. "Stay here, I'll be back in about twenty minutes." Miguel said. Porom looked at Miguel as he walked out of sight. * * * Fifteen minutes later, Miguel returned carrying three sets of clothing. They were Imperial uniforms. "Here, put these on." Miguel said as he handed them both a pair. They put the uniforms over their clothing and walked up the guards. "Where are you going?" the officer in the Magitek armor asked. "We got word that three citizens that stole a Magitek armor were hiding out inside," Cordain said quickly. "Really? I better go with you then." the officer said. The three had no choice but to accept. They traveled deep into Mt. Zozo not finding anything. The officer in the Magitek started to get mad. They traveled a bit farther when he said "That's it. We're heading back." "No we're not not." Miguel said. At that moment, Cordain and Miguel jumped the officer, quickly killing him. They took the body at threw it off an edge. Cordain chuckled. "What's so funny?" Miguel asked. "Well, we told them three people stole a Magitek armor. Now, three people have," Cordain said. Miguel smiled. Miguel sat in the Magitek armor and worked it properly. He never remembered having been in one but he sure knew how to use one. Cordain led the way to Cyan's old room. Miguel and Porom sat in the Magitek armor. Since it was build to accomidate any sized troop with armor on, there was just enough room for Miguel and Porom to fit in it. They had to 'squeeze' together, but it wasn't uncomfortable. They arrived at Cyan's old room and rested. Miguel sat outside on the cliff looking at the scenery. Not too long after, Porom joined him. They sat there looking out over the cliff and the beautiful horizon. It wasn't too long untul they heard Cordain talking with someone. Miguel and Porom got up and walked back into the cave. Miguel instantly reconized the two men Cordain was talking to. "Lahndo! Omega!" Miguel said.
