The fires were calming down, the Imperial soldiers were withdrawing, and Rydia and Sarsii watched. The smoke, and confusion, were thoroughly lessened. Rydia looked up, as she watched the airships fly away, her mind whirled. She pulled on Sarsii's shoulder. "Look where the Empire's going, in that direction. If we can find the others, we can follow them." Sarsii nodded in approval, then walked towards the middle of town. Rydia followed. They both stopped, and looked up. "What is that?" Rydia exclaimed, as she unsheathed the sword she had, as a substitute for her whip. Sarsii whipped out his spear, "It looks like Magitek Armor... but it appears to be alive!" He charged the being, and poked at it with his spear. Rydia got down to work, and she called Asura to help Sarsii, and she charged the gargoyle with her sword. She slashed, while Sarsii poked, and Asura healed them twice before leaving. Rydia's calls had increased in power. She stepped back, and called Bahamut. Sarsii threw his spear at the being. The being started laughing. "Your powers, they mean NOTHING to me!" he boomed, and sent a laser at Sarsii, who got thrown back into a slightly burnt building. "And you, tiny caller, have a Bio attack!" A green wave hurtled toward Rydia, who dodged, barely, and ran over to Sarsii. He was hurt badly. She picked him up, and took him inside a house. "Hey, wake up! Wake up!" she said as she shook him. Sarsii opened his eyes, and spoke slowly, slurring his speech. "Living Magitek Armor, who'd... have thought?" "It must have a weakness! Does this Magitek have any weaknesses?" she replied. "I don't know... I don't know..." His eyes closed again. "WAKE UP! Asura, help me!" she yelled. Asura appeared, and healed Sarsii, who still had his eyes closed. Rydia rose, and made sure Sarsii would be all right. Then she went back outside to face the monstrosity.
