Akfek waited impatiently, alongside Sascha and a General, for news of the
assault on the Returner's base.  From previous updates, the Empire was
suffering heavy losses and the Returners had managed to successfully defend
their base.  This was not the only misfortune the Empire had encountered. 
A short time ago, a few rebels broke into Doma and saved a Returner 
prisoner.  However, this was a minor setback - the real obstacle was 
crushing the Returner's base. 

A messenger from the battle front entered the throne room.  He held the 
latest report from General Renshield in his hand.  The messenger handed the 
letter to MacArthur who promptly read the contents to Lady DelAubre and 
Akfek.  


	"The Empire's losses have continued to accumulate.  However, our 
efforts have not been wasted in vain.  The Imperial Army has discovered a 
weak point in the Returner's defenses.  Our troops will penetrate the 
Returner's Base shortly.   Victory to the Empire.

                                           General Renshield."

At Jidoor, there were countless number of bodies that lay throughout the 
battle ground.  General Renshield flipped the corpse of a former Imperial 
solider over.  A picture lay underneath the corpse.  General Renshield
retrieved the photo and examined it.  It was a picture of the soldier with
his wife and daughter.  General Renshield returned the picture to the soldier;
such casualties were the product of war ... yes, there are many casualties 
in war. 

Perhaps the ends will justify the means.  If the Empire won, order and 
stability would be established.  Although General Renshield hated all the 
slaughtering, killing, and massacres, until the Empire could establish its 
order, the deaths would have to continue.

"General Renshield!"

The General faced the oncoming Lieutenant.  "What is the current status of our
strike upon Sector-P?"

"The Returner's line of defense has been broken at Sector-P."

"Excellent.  Order all troops in that area and all surrounding areas to 
charge into the Returner's base."

"Yes sir."

The troops stormed the weakened point in the Returner's base. The Returners 
fought valiantly but could not thwart the sheer number of soldiers that 
charged towards them.  The Imperial army had penentrated the Returner's 
base... at last...
