hmmm
well IMHO proxy checking should be a function of services.  here is my
delima.  i have 2 servers.  on my hub proxy checking works. on the leaf
server it dosent.  So no matter how much i try to keep proxies off.  They
just dont stay off.  IE i have a round robin dns irc.darklitany.com... So
its a 50 50 chance they will get on the server that has proxy checking.
