     Language files are just plain text files; as another reply said, read
the comments at the top of lang/en_us.l, and work from there.  Be warned
that the amount of text is huge; expect to spend at least two to three
months on the initial translation.

     Also, if you'd be willing to continue maintaining the language file as
it is updated in future versions, please let me know privately.
